Not to thread hijack, but are any of the more popular dataloggers compatible with mac's? All seem to be pc based from what I take from the ads. Thanks

As a vendor for several brands of D/A systems and from my experience with systems even beyond those through coaching work, I can give you the pros & cons of different systems but going though some questions & answers with you will help me understand your situation more specifically and help with making recommendations for your case.

Feel free to give me a call or email.

(Macs: No one is making d/a software for Macs but I have used Boot Camp and VMware with out any issues so far.)

Quote: A lot of S2000 owners in SoCal have the RacePak G2X or the Performance Box datalogger. I have the G2X and I love it. They all do pretty much the same, but one consideration is to buy one that is common in your region so you can share and compare data.

Except himself, of course. I've learned a lot just referencing my own laps against each other.

If somebody else is doing something you never even thought of, however, you would miss out on that.

Most (or all?) make the data analysis software available for download, so you could try to get it running before deciding on buying the hardware.

The fast guys we race with are generally very generous in sharing their data. I find it quite valuable to see what can be done. Yes, I can learn a lot just from examining my own data (especially when I'm suddenly slower than I should be), but there's nothing like knowing what speed can be done, with proper setup and big enough balls. That doesn't matter so much with track days, where you're not encouraged to drive 10/10, but it makes a huge difference with racing.

I purchased a used DL1 a while back. Only a few folks I'm friends with have it. Still, I find it very valuable.

Pi or motec, the sdl is awesome and could save you a motor... Aim is pretty good on a budget
