Default DC Prosolo

So the DC Pro is about 2 weeks away. I'm getting pretty excited for it.

I just noticed they opened up registration to some of the waitlisters. I'm a little worried we'll be racing in the dark again. I'm trying to remember if at the 2010 DC pro there was a good reason we went until dark (like delays of some sort), or if it was just too many people registered, anyone remember? Because we had 230 then and we're at almost 260 now.

Finally, if anyone has a woman friend, let them codrive in L3 in your ST* car! 4 people currently, just need one more to make a class (possibly 2...not sure if shelly monfort is really eligible since she's listed as being in a lotus). I noticed some women in open class in street tire cars too so if you know these people suggest to them that maybe they should run in L3. (I need contingency money for parts and Tory winning is a better bet than me winning )

Also, roll call?

I'm registered for BS. This will be my first test of the new setup so I'm looking forward to that aspect. However, I've never done a Pro before and I'm not crazy about FedEx. Should be a good time.

Can't wait!! I'll have a grand total of 2 events ( 1 local, 1 test and tune, lol!) under my belt to get the car dialed in. Hopefully she works well!!

I think I am the only guy in this thread that has ran the DC Pro before, so let me tell you, our s2000's, comparitively speaking, will be at their biggest disadvantage compared to any other site or race layout in the United states. The launch and drag race is up hill for 150 ft (at least) followed by another (even longer, and steeper) run up the hill. This places a HUGE advantage on the power cars. The BS solstices creamed everyone in 2010, the 350/370z creamed all of CS too. All the power cars dominated their classes. Now that being said, a full prep BS CR has never competed here, so we'll see how we do. I do believe the AP2/CR can win - but I will say, without question, that Eric Kriemelmeyer will be FAST in that Solstice. Hopefully it's a Honda on the top step when the dust settles.

haha, at the last DC pro I was still holding on to the notion that I could do well in CS with a NB miata against the 370z's, porsches, rx-8's, etc.

That was the event that finally got it through my thick head that I was done with the miata.

So I can fully get behind Nick's assertion that prosolos in DC favor cars with power. Which in STR, we'll be the ones with power, imagine that.

I was at the last DC pro as well, and it was rediculous what the seperation was with power cars to S2000's. From memory i thought it was the top S2000 was about 1.5s out of first per side! That was my first pro and was very discouraged thinking this was normal for S2000 at pro's. I will be there this year in BS, this is pretty early in the season for the northeast i have not had any seat time, and new shock setup to dial in it should be fun.

Haha on how the tables have turned with power cars in STR though.

Where is everyone staying? i scored Courtyard by Marriot in greenbelt for $52 per night on priceline!

Does anyone know if it is on the same lot as last time? From what i remember there were new owners of the site and they forced the event to move weeks before the event to a lot that they normally do not run on, and there were many that were unhappy with the change as the lot was smaller and hilly.

I'm staying here - Courtyard New Carrollton Landover

It's only a couple miles away, it's the closest marriott for sure.

I'm actually staying for free (not even paying rewards points) thanks to some rewards shenanigans

Registered for STR. My first pro, 3rd event in this car and hopefully 2nd event on the STR setup . Looking forward to an overall good time and hoping for blue skies.

Yes, it's on the same lot as in 2010, the one with the grass strip in the middle (E/F). They changed lots right before the 2010 prosolo and I'm pretty sure they never changed back since.
