deleting abs
All that said, I don't recommend for or against disconnecting ABS at the track, to each his own!
I have no idea whether I'm faster with it or without it, as far as I can tell there's little to no difference. ABS should make one more consistent at least, as it removes a DRIVER "failure mode". But since I'm not *racing* (track days and 3-lap solo time trails), the improved consistency of ABS over driver skill doesn't offer me as much of an advantage.

I autocrossed my S2000 once with the ABS disabled (wheel speed sensor went bad). I was surprised by how often I locked the inside front wheel trail braking into corners.
Two conclusions from this experience:
1. You may be using your ABS more than you think -- I was never conscious of the fact that my ABS was modulating the brakes until it stopped doing so.
2. The S2000's brake bias is far enough forward to be drivable without ABS, at least on an early AP1.

I am thinking of racing in SCCA ITR but I just read it says no ABS!
