Fastest Dot R with Treadwear 50+
Ok, so one group I track with classes tires at 50 and above and below 50. I run 18" and a non-staggered set up 10" all around.
So these are the tires I have come up with in order of what I would think is faster.
Slowest
275/35/18 RA1 - I have these now.
275/35/18 Nitto NT01 - Next gen Toyo
285/30/18 Hankook Z211 C50 - great deals...
285/30/18 Kumho V700A -
Fastest
Not considered
Yoko A048
Michelin PSC
Any ideas if these seems correct on speed?

The Kuhmos will probably be the fastest but have issues from my experience on the track. First they wear extremely quickly. I've gone through a set down to cord in two days. They get greasy and don't like heat.
I'd say that Kuhmos are great qualifying tires since they stick quickly and will continue to stick hard for 5 or 6 laps. After that they get sloppy.
I prefer the RA-1s for longevity and endurance in the face of heat. The Nittos should be very similar to the RA-1 if not identical.

Two of the frequently FTD cars around here at the BMWCCA autocrosses run the V700's one is a E36 M3 and one is a STi. I'm surprised they can run equal (and faster) on the victoracers when a lot of people are running V710's.
I may try the V700's or RA1's in a 275/40/17 setup. Where can you get the Hankook R comps cheap?
