First time autocrossing this weekend need recs
Ok for you first timers. Things that you will need to bring. Water, Hat, sunscreen, lunch, Helmet (if you have one), and a towel (to wipe off that sweat)!
I usually run Kumho (38 psi front, 30~32 psi back). The cone 'blood' comes off very easily (just use a quality wax to remove the marks). Just remember to get there early so that you have plenty of time to 1) socialize 2) prepare your car for tech 3) tech your car 4) walk, walk, walk the course (walk the course with an experienced driver) 5) find your work assignment 6) drive really fast and have fun 7)socialize 8) work the course 9)socialize, 'dog' your friends about how you beat their best time!!
Tech preperation:
Make sure you bring your car to tech the way it will be run on the course. Remove all objects in the car interior (such as phones, and loose items, radar detectors etc). Remove the floor mats from both sides. Remove loose items from the trunk and make sure everything is secured. Make sure that you have all fluids topped up and the car is in working order. Make sure your numbers are visible on the car.
I usually run with the top down. Top up / top down will not make any difference during an autocross (unless its raining).
Hope you guys have fun out there.

did ok for s02's with about 20 % tread left, problem is that in BS you are allowed to run a race compound rubber, this blows my mind and I really couldn't understand it, but an audi TT on victoracers was beating me by a solid 2-3 seconds on a low 30 sec course(short), it was fun and frantic, but i think i like driving schools and track events much more.
