I think that just about sums up the answer to your question .

 

The bar will reduce the amount of sway/tipping and keep the rear inside wheel on the ground if you are getting any wheel spin on stock rubber. With r compounds the tipping increases and the inside rear wheel will lift inducing rear wheel spin and the bar will reduce the amount of tipping/sway keeping the rear planted.
