Gendron Bar Maintenance question
Hey guys,
I took the bars off my black car and it seems after 3 years the front bar has seen quiet the wear. The rear bar has only been on the car for less then a year but has went though the winter.
Heres a few pictures....
What all do you guys recommend replacing before putting this on the new car? I'm thinking about bearings, bearing collars, and maybe front endlinks.
Thanks!

A lot of the local guys I know take apart their cars and put stock parts on for the Winter.
It's a pain, but kind of a Winter / Spring ritual around here. I use a lot of anti-seize and heavy oil to coat things.

here in ontario, canada, i use a product called RUST CHECK. It comes in a can and i spray it liberally on all underside bolts/etc. Costs about $10/can and i will go through a can shooting all the bits and pieces for one car for one winter. Repeat the next year. Works like a charm.
My rear bar and all its mounting hardware on the civic looks great still 4 years on. Oh yes, i also use cans of rubberized undercoating liberally as well.
good luck

Most of that can easily be cleaned off and repainted (bar, arms, etc). I would only replace parts that are too far rusted to reuse or are no longer functioning smoothly. Besides, it's all under the car, who's going to be seeing any of that other than yourself?
