Do you think the seats would fit in the car with full interior? If not, what part of the interior would not allow the seat to fit properly? and sliders would be impossible to put in even when custom designed?
Glove box would not open.

As for sliders, anything is possible. Nothing off the shelf is going to work, though. I didn't see the point in worrying about it, since I'm probably the only one who is going to drive the car.

heh "half cage" You mean roll bar

Mike I'm surprised your guy had issue w/ the fuel neck. you just pull the rubber accordion thingy out of the way and put it back when you're done. The rubber rubs on the bars but its not a problem at all.

That's what we did. In fact, it was me (during my initial scoping of the design issues) who thought it might be a problem. When Doug did the actual test-fitting he found that the bar was able to just snake in there the way you describe.

And yes, this "half cage" talk is kind of silly.

But like the original post in this topic, one of the groundrules Doug and I talked about was that we would attempt to make sure that if I later decided to go to a cage I could probably build off of what we already had. That helped drive some of the tubing size decisions, for instance.

In the center of the car, from the bare metal shelf to the hardtop lining is 2 feet and 3 inches. The top of the bar is about one inch less than that. It does touch the lining out closer to the sides.
