^^ They allow tracking the car with the shoulder harness not being horizantal or within 20 degrees below?

can anyone tell me which bars fit with a hardtop? I have my softtop removed, and am happy to lose the roll hoops as well if necessary to get a harness bar that is mounted at the proper height.

Buy my bar and have a shop relocate the harness bar further down the legs.

Just go to a cage builder and have something custom-built for you. It's the softtop that causes 95% of the difficulties. If you have already gotten rid of it, then it's easy for a cage builder to come up with something.

The bar fits fine with a hard top.

You can keep the stock roll hoops but you'll have to trim the hoop's plastic outer shell.

If you're willing to lose the center console they'll put the harness bar lower--when I ordered mine they asked where I wanted it.

I got the welded in harness bar. It's the same size tubing as the rest of the bar and looks much better than the square, removable bar.

The install isn't easy but I was able to do it alone. I spent one afternoon removing the interior trim and then installed the bar the next day. I didn't re-install my plastic interior pieces--I didn't want to cut them.

I'm very happy with the fit-and-finish of the Hard Dog bar and they shipped it when they said they would.

I'm curious if NASA will allow it for instance. Has anyone gone through TT or HPDE tech w/ this bar?

It can go about 2 inches lower without interfering with the "glove box" correct? It would only block the secret compartment then. Can anybody give me an exact measurement of how much lower it can go without having to at least remove that section.

Also, what interior plastic pieces need to be cut? I really like how this looks.

Read the NASA rules and see for yourself.

Each region is different in their enforcement. I know it used to be that some NASA chapters did not require add'l roll protection while others did. I'm guessing all chapters will soon be onboard with mandatory bars. That said, I can tell you that some regions just look to see if the car has a bar- never really checking anything. This applies to HPDE's. I'm sure they're more stringent in TT inspections due to classing.
