In my last S2k, I had the Safety-21 4pt roll bar. I liked it, but hated sacrificing my leg space (6' tall). Where does the Hard Dog roll bar install to? I'm assuming I have to remove stock roll hoops which is not a problem, but are there any other interior pieces that need to be removed?
If you have any pics of this setup please post them. Or, if you use another roll bar that doesn't take away from seat space, please chime in.
This bar is currently out of my car and for sale. If you're interested, PM me. This one was an early bar that interfered with the seat belt guide that bolts to the stock roll hoop, but if you are ok with removing the roll hoops entirely, it will have zero problems. I've picked up a second s2000 for track use, so I'll be having a custom bar welded in over the winter.
way too high......they are putting the harness way to high...I called them about it after I got my bar from them....they totally ignorned me....so paid another 150 to get it done right!

The bar was made with compromises such as to be able to leave your interior intact. We all know the bar is higher than optimal, but with the center console and softtop in place, they had to make it as they did.
For the record, I've had the Safety21, the GFL/HD bar with seatbelt retractor mounting tabs added, and now a fully welded HD bar(center console/softtop removed). This doesn't make me a guru, but I do have experience with each one of those bars.

Skip's right. When designing a bolt in bar for the casual track user, especially in a car as tight as the S2K, certain compromises have to be made. The hardcore users have all had custom solutions welded in which required removing the interior partially or even completely. When you're willing to gut the car, you have a lot more options but you're not the target market for a bolt in solution that allows the retention of all the amenities.
