yea nasa time trials and PT gives you 4 points for a non-oem hardtop and spoon style "aero" tops are staight out banned
I also believe SCCA mandates OEM top for ITR race class and T3 also.

 

That's not true. No point penalty for aftermarket composite top with oem shape.

 

What both of these guys are saying though applies to actually racing in a specific series or class. For HPDE you can use anything. I've never heard of anyone being turned away from HPDE because of a HT other than OEM.

Right, anything that isn't an OEM hardtop or an exact OEM replica/shape will cost you extra points for NASA TT/PT.

 

In SCCA STU and T3, it has to be the actual Honda part, but you can replace glass with plastic (in STU at least).
