Has anyone here done the StartingLine driving class ?
I found this class and it looks interesting to me:
StartingLine Class
Does anyone have any info pro or con about it ?
I'm not an experienced performance driver, so I need to start with the basics.
I also don't want to beat up my pristine 01 with only 19K miles, would this be a bad choice for a like new car ?

Sounds like a decent starting point. I can't speak for everyone, but I got my feet wet doing autocross, which is way cheaper and lower speeds. I quickly went to attending HPDE events. There are many options for starting points. I remember my first autocross in my AP2. I keep that car spotless, shampooed the floor mats even. Then my instructor hops in the car with muddy shoes and leans her helmet on the dash. I about had an aneurysm right there. I left the autocross with a completely filthy car both inside and out. I spent 10 hours (literally) the following weekend cleaning it. I also like HPDEs not only for the higher speeds, but Im lazy and don't like cone working
This is not to scare you off. I think any s2000 belongs and is at home on a track and should, at least a few times be driven as it was built to be. The only place to safely do this is at an HPDE. Just take your time and learn as much as you can. Visit motorsportreg.com to see what events are in your area.

This is an autocross specific package. It is a good deal if you plan to join the SCCA and attend a National Tour event. It is a lot of money if you are not serious about autocross. I would recommend contacting your local SCCA region and seeing if they have an autocross novice school. Should be less than $100 to spend a day at a novice school. If, after that, you are hooked, the Starting Line Class might be good.
I wouldn't worry about beating up a low mileage car. My S2000 had 700 miles on it when I took it to an autocross. That was almost 13 years ago. It now has 200+ events on it and runs like new. (You will beat up the paint a little, but most of it can be polished out.)

After 13 years, my front bumper is looking a little ragged. A clear bra would have helped a lot.
I occasionally get some good scratches down the sides, but I've been able to polish them out.
Don't let me scare you too much. Here is a picture of my car after the end of season detail in 2013. (10 years of autocross.)
