I highly recommend you just go into to a Motorcycle accessories store or if you even a Karting store and try on the helmets of the same brand if you can.

I have a arai rx7 corsair and it fits exactly like in the video.

You should feel your cheeks being pushed in a little and have no movement within the helmet.

Thanks for all the inputs guys.

After reviewing several different manuals, it should be against the "throat."

The vendor provided instructions on how I could mod the strap angle.

BTW, below are some of the other helmets I have.

Be careful, vendors use multiple shell shapes and sizes between lines so you can't compare them directly across unless you've confirmed the same shell is being used. Arai uses different shell sizes for most of their helmet sizes, where as other vendors might use two or three shell sizes across the entire XS-XL range. Shell shape is the big thing a lot of people don't think about.

As a side thing, here are my trophies. Left side was a GSXR750 trackday highside onto the back of my head around 70mph, first crash after riding motorcycles daily for 8 years, concussion. Right side was a R6 ~50mph lowside at Thunderhill Raceway trying to get slicks up to temp in ~40* / sprinkles. Mistakes were made, I rode my street Tuono for the rest of the day. I don't own a bike anymore, the S2000 was my compromise.

Are we posting helmet collections?

Here are our Rossi replicas. We actually got two of them signed by the legend himself. One at the Assen TT, the other at the USGP.

Thanks.

That's an old pic, the blank shelf has been filled with another Rossi replica. Stopped the collecting madness about 8 years ago.

Back to the original post it looks like the the reason the helmet is shifted back and up on your head so far(your eyes are so close to the bottom of the visor opening) is because of the position of the strap. if you were to rotate the helmet forward on your head to bring your eyes up more towards the middle of the visor opening the chin strap would REALLY be pushing on your throat and choking you. Obviously if you can't breath you can't drive....just seems like a weird helmet design.
