I could have sworn there was a reference thread that talked about this.

I just bought a converter from the local parts store. nothing fancy but needs to be the proper type to convert the separate turn and brake lights to a single (if that's what the trailer is). I forget but it shouldn't be much - $20US? I never had used a trailer before and this was a no-brainer, even for me...
