Hitch options

Hitch options
I'm thinking about doing some out of state track events and so want to avoid long distances on track tires as well as be able to bring some additional tools that won't fit within the car. I've been looking at a tire trailer pulled behind the S2000. In terms of hitches, I've only been able to find two solutions: Chase Race and
. I really like the Chase Race solution which allows the T bar to be removed and thus only adds 6 lbs. But I emailed Doug and he currently doesn't have plans to build any more so they are, at the moment, NLA. The Curt solution adds 23 lbs which isn't huge, but it's at the end of the car so I'm not a big fan of this approach. Plus, the hitch is always visible.
I've searched and saw that there used to be a solution that mounted behind the license plate, but it appears there were some reliability issues and it's NLA too.
Car is a MY00. Are there any other hitch solutions to consider?

there is no doubt, that the Chase Race hitch is a great design. Easy to remove and install. No cutting or drilling into the chassis or body work. The original installation requires removing the bumper and 2 diff bolts and takes a bit of time to adjust the heim joints.
I had one installed on my AP1 (sold the car, but kept the hitch- see below). My AP2 also has one- and it is far easier to install and remove on the AP1 than with the AP2, but I digress.
So, if you're looking for an AP1 Chase Race hitch, PM me- I haven't posted it in the FS forum yet.

Yeah, I've got the Chase Race on my AP2 and love it, not cheap, but quality and works great. Use it every week for my bicycle rack (lightweight Saris, nice).
I bought another one for my AP1 track car but since it isn't street legal, might also sell it at some point. Darcy, if you sell yours, PM what the right price is so I know, thx.
