attend hpde event as a beginner as much as you can and listen to the instructor . Seat time is the best thing for you , so auto cross may not help as much as hpde beacuse most autocross are 1 min sessions and hpde are usually 25 min sessions all day events . I learned alot my first day and realized I knew nothing about driving . I alos learned over driving the car will slow you down . Good luck

Thanks for the advice...everybody. I ordered Speed Secrets yesterday and am going autocrossing tomorrow...don't have a cowbell, yet, but I do have Blue Oyster Cult on my 8 track (...Romeo and Juliet, live together in eternity...)

And don't be silly. You have to mount the cowbell, not just hang it.
Make sure to get stainless hardware and keep the bearings greased. Nothing worse than a seized cowbell.

Too likely to statter rather than bend. I prefer pot metal.

High quality blinker fluid also key when running alot of cowbell. The vibrations can upset visibility (key when cornering in nighttime autoX's)

Impressive! Most people on this forum only read at a 4th grade level.

If that's the case, I don't even want to know what grade level people on this forum post at
