How small is too small?

Asura, there are four cars in Unlimited- Dave, Ry, Will, and Karner. Prod would have 4-5 cars: twohoos, me, c3, strike, prolene.... (hope I didn't leave anyone out). I don't think length of experience is critical as some people are fast learners or track hounds, but they have to have had significant amount of cumulative track time.
Mod would then attract more relatively newcomers to try R-compounds without too many extra mods to the car and be competitive.
