I need a Track Day
The SCCA site isn't that easy to navigate, true.
It's a great place to start out for autocross, and it's a great place for track days also, as long as they have events in your region. And you're in luck for next month. See below.
For track days, the SCCA doesn't really cater to that much. Except for the last couple years they have run a program called "Time Trials". It's essentially an HPDE event, usually run in conjuction with other events. The great thing about it is the instruction.
They have SCCA certified instructors (which is a really good thing, the fact that somebody has lots of experience racing has absoleutley nothing to do with being a good teacher) with you all day, that you don't have to pay extra for. Cost is about the same as any HPDE day.
NASA is good too, cause their instructors are "certified" as well. Try to find out if any of your local tracks are owned by the local SCCA club. If so, they probably run their own track days, and use the SCCA instructors (outside of an SCCA event).
This is a site that contracts to do online registration for events for many different clubs and organizations. It's an easy way to find track days.

Also, do a search for all the tracks near you, go to their websites, and they'll have a calendar. Then you can contact the appropriate organization doing the trackday.
Here's a little info on SCCA Time Trials, but it's not a complete schedule at all. There's one coming up at Daytona in a couple weeks, This is absolutely what I would recommend for a beginner or intermediate driver.

Download the book on the link, it's real good. If you like to read, another absolutley awesome bood is Going Faster-Mastering the Art of Race Car Driving. It's the bible of the Skip Barber Racing School. Good for beginners.
