Default J's S2 Camber Joint Redesign

Has anyone else heard about the redesigned J's S2? I'm trying to get original S2 camber joints for my STR car. The new ones look like they have the thicker base that adjusts for roll center like all the other camber joint/roll center adjuster out there. Why would they do that? Does the L1/L2 still have the shorter base with a spacer? If this is true, what are the options for STR?

The old ones are red, the newer ones are blue.

If they were redesigned, then I'm not aware...

It's a different color, not a redesign. At least looks the same as the joints I've had anyhow.

I've gone through a few sources on this and one has contacted J's directly about the issue. I've expressed the fact that I only want to change the range of camber and leave the roll center unchanged. The response I heard was that J's no longer makes a product that can achieve this. I haven't found anyone in the US that has the part in stock. I really don't want to wait until March to find that I got a product that is not legal for my class, but it looks like I don't have any other options at this point.

I was pretty sure the L1/L2 was the roll center adjuster camber joint and the S1/S2 were just the camber joints and no roll center correction.

Exactly. That's what I thought as well. I've jumped up and down on the phone with a couple J's distributors telling them they're looking for the wrong thing I want the S2. Each time they've come back that it's the S2 has changed. When I asked what was happening with the L2 they didn't have an answer and I didn't really want to wait for them to call Japan and get back to me. The link I posted above still lists the L1 and L2 along with the redesigned S1 and S2, so that confused me. If they are still selling those which are essentially the old S2 with a spacer, I guess that would work...

The guys from GoTuning just got back to me with J's response. The new S1/S2 is 10mm thicker than stock and slightly raises the roll center while the new L1/L2 is 25mm thicker than stock. Both are now one piece units(the L2 is no longer an S2 with a spacer). They said J's feels that with these new products their customers are getting more for their money.

Hardrace makes the one without roll center adjustment.

Thanks, I'm looking for a retailer with them in stock now. They are pretty much like the L2, right? They only come as a two piece set with an optional spacer that can be used for roll center correction? I can't really afford to order the wrong part the first time with my time constraints.

If hardrace is acceptable to you then just get the megan one. Megan == Hardrace. Same factory different box.

I got mine from this guy on eBay: http://bit.ly/WSE32T

I low balled him and he countered at $200
