Default JRZ singles

ive had my jrz's on the car for about 8000miles, i kind of run a soft front setup but today i was on the freeway and had a long opening so i got up to 110-120 and the car felt like it was not planted very well, i went to stiffen up the fronts a click or so and saw that i was only 4 clicks from full stiff already (of 13 total adjustments) i dont know if this is maybe a spring issue that i should get maybe a stiffer spring (i dont know the rates i have, wael at elda reccomended these but they are agressive street setup according to him, or possibly the shocks need to be revalved/rebuilt? let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions

Inspect them for oil on the shock shaft. If they're clean, keep running them. If they're not, rebuild them.

yeah chances are they don't need to be rebuilt but if you're almost maxed out you might want to have them revalved.

After about 2 years I had mine rebuilt and tony told me that mine looked to be in great shape still (I don't street mine tho).

I've had my JRZ singles running for over 30,000 miles of mixed track and street use. If yours are like mine, there are actually two adjustments available. One is the dial up top, and the other is the nitrogen valve down below. You should check and see what your nitrogen pressures are. You can increase the pressure (your shop probably has a nitrogen tank) and effectively increase your spring rate. Whoever sold you the shocks should be able to provide you with a PSI/spring rate chart. If not, I can dig it up. But first and foremost, I'd make sure all the shocks are at the same PSI.
