Pretty sure if he can build a tubular manifold and design a rad, he can rebuild his engine....

Big Bores and Boost don't go well for not blowing headgaskets. motor that was in it is NA for life. It will either find its way back into this car one day or into a miata or a exocet or perhaps if someone throws me an offer that makes me cry less parting with it perhaps it will find life in someone elses car. I really wanna shove it in a exocet and run E85 and have a really freakin cool street car. But at the rate I have projects piling up this thing will be rotten by the time I get around to that project.

Just thinking you have a sleeved block, CNC ported head with new valves/springs/etc, all prepped by one of the top engine builders in the country. They build reliable turbo engines all day long, they like you (from Luke's posts on K20a), and they would appreciate what your doing. They have the parts, and after that it would be reliable and turnkey.

The turbo is a fine way to go, especially with E85. You could still use it in an Exocet or Miata. The parts being changed, pistons and cams, (along with valves and valve springs) are really expendables anyway in a race motor and you would still have the NA for future use. I'm guessing you have there custom 260 g pistons with the .945 compression height. The 156 head is probably perfect for your turbo application.

Was you NA engine built to pull vacuum with your dry sump? The blow by with FI makes the whole crankcase airflow management a bigger issue. Not sure what the S2k turbos do; the 2JZs run two AN12 lines to a vented catch can.

He already has a 4P motor. This is just a matter of using it in the new application. Racing is an expensive hobby. Lots of money goes into the car and into expenses and consumables in going to events for maybe a few hours of seat time on a road course or minutes on a drag strip. And that doesn't count crash damage or expensive mechanical failures (blown motors, broken transmissions, suspension failures, etc.).

The reason for doing it is the same as the original reason for going to 4P: the cost of a reliable, powerful motor is less than the cost of doing everything else without one.

Everything back from Coatings. Still waiting on oil lines and coolant lines. I'll build that as they get here.
