And how the hell do you know what kind of karts I've driven? I've driven karts so grippy, they went up on 2 wheels instead of losing traction.
My bad on the logic and reasoning, it obviously has no place here.

I went karting at VIR around a month ago, which was a ton of fun, but I can see where you are coming from when it comes to fatigue in a real kart. I work out 5 times per week (lifting), and even in those crap rent-a-karts I could really feel my shoulders fatiguing faster than anything else. I'm sure that cardio would help as well with your stamina, but lifting is always good for building some lean mass that will help you become stronger overall, and help with your endurance.

You said indoor karts don't pull over 1g. It took oh so much brain power from there to come to the conclusion that you've never seen an indoor kart that could pull over 1g.

This thread = now. I have no problem being corrected if my guess of 2g is wrong for karts. I do know that the karts at GPS were running on a high grip asphalt surface and used some pretty sticky tires off of shifter karts because I worked there. They imported the karts from europe and as far as I know there arent many others like them in the states, nor is there an indoor facility that used the grade of asphault from GPS. I wouldnt dare try to compare them to a real shifter kart, as they may have only gone 25-30mph, but that was 25-30mph that you could go flat out into a very tight radius corner, lap after lap. We had pro drivers in there from Cart, Indy and sports car racing as well as guys that raced shifter karts, and the guys I spoke to were impressed by the stick that they had in the corners. I would bet that anyone on here would feel "worked out" after 5 or 6 races in them, hence my conclusion that they must have been capable of quite a bit more lateral g than a street car, or whatever type of driving you are doing on a daily basis. For a guy in the midwest, there arent really any options in the winter to actually drive something on a course to keep your mind and body fresh for track driving when it warms up. In that respect, I would think that ANY type of indoor kart driving would be a benefit along with some targeted physical training.
