Ground clearance is a serious issue and I will be raising my car as it is just too low.

How about alignment settings though. Which settings do you recommend for street? Which settings are you guys running?

I would start with trying to get the honda settings to work - and then see how it feels.. and adjust as necessary.. you might struggle to adjust the camber/toe..

hence the reason for the development of the BSK..

you might want to look at that on the market place before sorting out your alignment..

Yeah, I will try the Honda UK settings. Do you remember what they are? I can't find my settings sheet.

Any idea of the Aj-racing version of the BSK? It is a lot cheaper than the GFL version. If it is on par with the GFL, I will just pick that one up.

Remember, I will be driving mostly on the street.

The car as is seems a little loose at low speeds. I just flipped a U turn yesterday at relatively low speed and the rear end snapped around a bit I was like that the heck?! I would imagine that the car is not balanced because I am running plenty of -camber.

So your recommendation is BSK, alignment and corner balance?

Hey Kobe... I checked over my suspension and the initial shop that installed my coilovers did not install them correctly. Today I raised the coilovers to the full height and re-adjusted my bump settings.

My settings are below and are geared for street driving.

For alignment settings I am running

6.45 Degrees Caster
0 Degrees Toe (Front)
1/8 degree Total Toe (Rear) (Actual setup is a smidge more than 1/8 total)
-1 degree camber (Front)
-2 degrees camber (Rear)

Suspension Settings

Rebound 1.5 turns from full stiff (Front)
Rebound 2.5 turns from full stiff (Rear)
Bump 1.5 turns from full stiff (Front)
Bump 1.5 turns from full stiff (Rear)

At low speeds, the car feels softer than stock and rides over small bumps without bouncing the entire car. Overall however I would say that the suspension is stiffer than stock with my current settings but it is very easy on the rear and kidneys in normal driving conditions.

The car feels a bit less responsive overall and this may be due to my lack of toe up front (not sure). The car handles great (even with the reduced response) but does push with my setup as I am not running factory stagger (215 Front, 255 Rear), the car holds the road very well and overall seems easier to drive.

I have only driven the car for about a half hour and these are my initial impressions of the vehicle with my more balanced setup.

what do you mean for response?

is this the weight/feedback you feel on the steering wheel..

or the car lagging behind your action.. i.e. how long does it take for the car to move after your input..

if it is the former.. that is very dependent on the wheel size, tyres, alignment.. I have zero toe at the front also..but more camber -

I think it's just a preference thing at our standard of driving.. and to be honest I only get oversteer/understeer moments at the track.. because the speeds otherwise are pretty illegal. On my daily car, a BMW 3 series.. that tyre squeals and slides at any speed

one good thing is the adjustments on the suspension do make a real difference.. I softened mine recently.. and you really feel the difference instantly.. not just in the bumps..but in the corners. It's not necessarily better/worse.. but the car feels very different. I missed the opportunity to drive a stock car.. back to back with mine on the track, that would have been interesting to see how these compare. After a while your new setup just feels normal again.

Yes by response I mean less quick to respond to input.

Understeer, yes it understeers. There are a couple of roads that I can take at speeds which will induce under/oversteer. This was how I knew that my initial suspension setup was tweaked because the car was breaking loose at speeds much lower than I could take them stock! I can't wait to get more seat time as well as track time within these upcoming months.

Hi,

Are you referring to ride height or the gap between the tire and the fender? If you are referring to ground clearance, I have not measured. My fender gap however is 1.25"

I don't believe that I am running the halfshaft spacers.

Next auto X event is next Saturday. My first run with these coilovers installed.

Car feels really good on the street but it definitely is not stiff enough for the track with my current settings.

What are your settings?

I finally got my car aligned so I will begin to dial it in. I'm currently using KW's recommended settings.
