Very helpful thread guys thanks a lot for all the help! BTW, I ordered the KW V3 yesterday and I will get them tomorrow. Will post pics and my car should be done with coilovers next Friday! jdnissanz build almost near completion and I am excited to test the car out.

sorry to hijacked the thread, but have anyone tried KW clubsports coilovers? Just wondering if someone might have experience with that comapred to V3 to see what difference it makes.

im currently running on the clubsports and find the spring rates too soft. Short of sending the dampers back to KW, im at a loss what to do.

Maxrev I thought you clocked faster lap times with the HKS coils of the cs? I am torn between hks and v3s. Are the cs worth the money over the v3s?
-- explanation? The only thing that I can think is that he had the car set up for the HKS coilovers, so when he switched to the CSs the car may not have been set up for them.

Or, it could be that the HKSs are more of a track-oriented suspension, not a street/track dual purpose coilover, so if you're going with them, you are probably running a track setup, in which case the SRCs would be a better choice (for twice the price).

You know what I just thought of, as I was going over NASA rules prepping my car -- what classes do you want to race in? The KWv3s add 12 points to your car for NASA auto-x, which could bump you into B class, where you would probably be very uncompetitive. By comparison, something with no external resaviors and less than 3 levels of shock adjustment would only penalize you 5 points (including springs in these calculations). Something to think about....
