What tires ?

Street tires (245/40 17 yoko ES100's) she seems to get off the line really well at about 5500rpm. Feather the throttle once moving to keep the tires spinning right at 6K.

Race tires it varies. Kumho's can be as high as 8500rpm to keep them spinning, and even there I've had them hook up. Hoosiers usually around 7K. Also Surface dependant.

Make sure you side step the clutch or snap off quickly.... if the tires aren't spinning then Your clutch is. Rode with someone once who thought you feathered the clutch from 8500rpm..... that had bad news written all over it.

Only do it when you have to. It's hell on the drivetrain.
