Default tires for s2000 or no

I would want to get nitto 555r drag radials on a s2000 but u need it to spin a little and ive heard that the s2k hardly spins at a drop at 6000rpm's so is this a good idea or no. if not would it help if i raise the tire pressure so it grips less to get a better launch.

Hardly spins is inaccurate. The issues are 1) the clutch won't take slippage so you must drop it hard at >VTEC RPMs and 2) you want to keep it in VTEC for best acceleration. I suspect a clutch upgrade would help immensely but what's available on the market today doesn't seem to handle the slippage required.

I'm no drag racer so I can't say. However, the issue is partly too MUCH traction with the stock tires and R compounds. I've wondered if a narrower tire or less grippy would be easier to launch and keep spinning with less stress on the clutch and driveline.
