Less costly solid front swaybar???
Nope, Goeke was codriving Steve Sucsy's S2000, heard he had a solid bar fabbed in TX, also maybe another solo2 guy named Greg Lee from same shop, was supposedly a lot less than $500. There is a shop in FL that specializes in custom swaybars, they advertise in Grassroots, have heard good things about them, most bars less than $200:
Saner Performance Fabrication
(561) 873-0238
www.sanerperffab.com
If they haven't done one yet would have to send the OE bar to use as a pattern.

Steve and I had bars made by Racefab http://www.racefabinc.com/ for $356 including shipping. They copied the stock bar, which you must provide. Ours are 1.25" solid which calculates to 95% stiffer than stock. With 225 front and 245 rear this is as close to neutral as you can get.
I used Urethane bushings from Energy suspension http://www.energysuspension.com/swaybb.html. The 1.25 inch bushings bolt right on. I made end links made from teflon lined spherical bearings from a Dallas bearing supply house.
Racefab uses spring steel bent hot and oven heat treats after. All the right stuff.
When I talked to Saner in fall 2000, they were using mild steel, bent cold and not heat treating. Conventional wisdom is that this material will not hold rate or shape over time.

My memory is returning. I marked the bar to have Racefab clock the flats on the end to better align with the end link. (The stock bar doesn't for no reason that anyone can name). This eliminated any endlink bindng. I also told Racefab to eliminate the slight bend near the end link attachment. I just adjusted the end link a little longer.
The non-adjustable Comptech front bar is around 31-32 mm (forget the exact dimension -- have it at home) and solid. It's only available as a kit with a rear non-adjustable hollow bar, but even so the kit is only about $400. Think of it as a Mugen bar with a free rear bar thrown in.
