why would the engine turn? The wheels have far less resistance.... I think.

My shakedown is going to be at Laguna Seca. Far from ideal
careful man. last time i was there saw a totalled, brand new, evo x, and i heard the next day there were some fatalities as well. bring tools and zip ties, to disconnect the rear bar, just in case it's too much to handle. gl.
I'll be starting at (what I believe) to be about 70% of the car's capability and slowly working up to give myself plenty of room to catch the rear. I even moved down a run group to accommodate the expected slower pace, and the possibility that my car may still be retarded. VitaRenovatio generously offered to let me co-drive his car, so I may take advantage of that with the slower run-group.

Additionally, we'll be gridded by lap time, so theoretically, I'll still be getting in clean laps.

Your concern is genuinely appreciated I'll be careful.

So, my left rear wheel bearing was (beyond) shot... looked like it had been on the car since it was new.

Hopefully my problem is solved. Chris (Darin's son) noticed that my lugnuts seemed loose; the wheel bearing was that bad.

Glad you found something. I hope that was the culprit!

Now hopefully a new wheel bearing fixes it although you said it was replaced not too long ago. I'd still be a little concerned the hub is bent if you trashed it that quickly.

I just did both of my rears last week along with Powerflex control arm bushings and DIY bumpsteer arms...... Hoping mine is fixed... hoping it doesn't push like a pig. I'll know tomorrow morning.

Also, what does a hub and bearing cost anyways?
