Great write-up, reads well!

 

I remember my first time, and it was pretty similar feeling. My big improvement markers to myself were checking my entry speed (wheels straight) onto the main straight to know how good I was taking the last corner, and catching a glimps of the Speedo at the end knowing how much of a difference those extra couple mph made over nearly a half mile.

I did my first weekend in a 9 months last July, and my right foot was shaking with excitement the first whole lap. Family obligations are conspiring to keep me off track until July or August this year too, but again I can't wait to get back out there.

My wife won't agree (lol!) but a track weekend is also my favorite way to spend one. I'm glad you had fun.
