i also have pole positions in my car and my seats goes all the way back.
Can it go back farther than it is in your pic though? I think most people are using a buddy club rail for their seat. I've got an f1spec rail in mine...not sure if mine goes back farther or not. If you compare your pic to mine you'll see my seat is back a bit farther. I know you had the harddog bar before you made this one, would you say the main hoop is pretty much identical?

Don't take this the wrong way, but IMO it's a mistake to use the mounting location of the Harddog/ELDA bar if you don't need to do so. That design was chosen to fit within the envelope of the softtop. You have much better options if you are willing to give up the softtop.

Also, the reason that the ELDA design had the rear stays come in partway down the upright hoop is because there was a requirement for at least a 30 degree angle between the stays and the plane of the hoop. Did you check this when you changed the design?

SJS - I think you would still be fine with the pole position. In my car the driver seat travel was virtually unchanged. It didn't affect where I kept my seat in any way.

The passenger seat does lose some travel because of the diagonal.

I'll shoot you a pm when I get my car back.

i only used the mounting points for the hardog because it seems everyone on here is jocking the hardog bars nuts i know there are better ways to plan a bar. i will build those bars in cars that want a custom non off the shelf bar. i will be building a permanent half cage in the car which will allow me to add on later when i decide to finish the front half. as for the angles in the back.. i went with a 35deg angle for the support legs. i would rather throw a 45 in there and run the legs further back behind the rear tower bar.
