Does anyone have any experience with the Exedy Hyper Single Clutch?

If so, how do you like it?

I've been using ACT plate, ACT 6 puck disc (with springs), and comptech flywheel. it has been performing really well and lasted long. but the clutch pedal was very heavy at the beginning, when you get used to it and drive another s2k you feel the clutch is just too light and travel is long.

for now i just replaced my setup to competition cluch heavy duty pressure plate and 6 puck (springed) disc, with spoon flywheel. i was shocked on how light the clutch pedal became compared to the ACT. i think its even lighter than stock! i'll track the car with this setup by the end of this month and i'll give you my feedback later.

I recommend the AP1 setup (no CDV, AP1 flywheel/disc/PP). Easy to drive and holds up to tons of abuse. I've got so many miles on mine its just silly and I do abuse it. Track/drag/auto-x.

Please consider the ScienceofSpeed Sport Clutch. This is particularily well suited for track use as the disc liner is both bonded and fastened, making it very durable. Also, keep in mind that fast shifts in later model S2000 can cause slipping due to the slave cylinder delay valve. For a track car, it's ideal to remove (the slave can be changed to the AP1 model).

Nope! They are remanufactured and may have the clutch buzz issue.

I plan on going for the exedy stock replacement. I heard it is more like the ap1 clutch I liked so much. Mine held 360whp without slipping!

This is what I'm going with when my heavy flywheel, low pressure pressure plate AP2 setup dies.
It's like an oem performance part and sometimes you just can't beat oem quality and durability.

Yes, I've been tracking and driving on the street for the past two years with the Exedy Hyper Single. The last year, I've been running a 10 psi supercharger. Clutch has worked great both NA and SC. The total assembly weighs about the same as my previous stock clutch with 7 lb aluminum flywheel. Engagement is more positive than the OEM clutch. The first couple hundred miles were very grabby but after that it smoothed out. It fully disengages at a slightly higher pedal location which helps speed up shifts and pretty much eliminated the cold tranny 1-2 grind. Overall, I'm very happy with it and would buy the same clutch again. The only negative is that it's a little more aggressive than the OEM clutch, which could be a detriment for daily driving/rush hour, but I feel it's beneficial on the track.

Does anyone here have experience with multiple clutch setups?

I'm nearing 65k on my ACT setup now, and would love to get a replacement (when my current clutch wears out) that doesn't have any clutch buzz. Mine buzzes louder than a swarm of angry bees.

Thanks for the info! I'm not concerned with daily driver useability as it's primarily my track car.
