Was nice meeting you, hopefully next time we'll see each other on the track
Much gratitude to you, Mac! Look me up if you're in Socal, need to buy you a drink!
Thanks for taking that balljoint castlenut off Too (wasn't sure how I was going to do that given where it fractured).

Mike
You're welcome and I'm always down for a milk tea

It's really odd to see a break like that on the unloaded side, can't wait to hear more about how this happened. Sorry I was so sleepy this morning, went to bed super late and woke up too early although it seemed to all work out, you can thank Monty for waking me up otherwise we probably wouldn't have met lol.
Good luck with everything and I'll hit you up the next time I go to SoCal, I usually try and hit up a meet when I'm there.

Absolutely, Mac! LMK if you're in the area.

I got to the track just after lunch, re-assembled the entire front left sus. with the arm you supplied and did a test run in the paddock. The car actually tracked straight but the wheel was cock-eyed toward the right. We left LS around 3:30p, got home...well, just now (5 fwy construction sucked, should've just done 101 all the way).

Thanks again Mac, Rylan, Aaron, Jeff, Dave, Dominick, Mike K., and Ryan (who lent me his jack stands and a 2nd jack) for helping me home!

Wow. That's a lot of damage.

It's nice to see that the Hardrace camber joint and bolts held up (which bolts did you use? The supplied ones or the ones I recommended at fastenal?).

GL with the repairs. Hopefully we'll see you back on the track soonerrather than later. Props to the s2ki community for helping get him home.

Albert, I used the supplied bolts...they seemed to work.

I'm also surprised that the balljoint and other stuff in there wasn't completely destroyed.

It didn't look like the balljoint parts actually touched anything so I'm thinking that the wheel just deformed so much, it took out the arm from the bottom...

woah I though for a second you had the first vantage point of the hit. that would have been neat to see.

You basically hit one of these at speed.

Ummmm, yeah, that looks bad. And yes, that side view you had earlier in the day would have been some crazy footage. I don't think that even a really high quality forged wheel would have survived that.

Mike, it's good to know that the supplied bolts held. It also makes me feel a lot better about the bolts I have.
