btw I wonder if the wheel broke and the arm then dropped and hit the curb. is there any red paint on the arm?

Ouch. No bent car, you're ok, not so bad in the grand scheme of things. This is the best community though.

Oh yeah... those red ones are killer. At one of the F1 races this year, the track had the big red ones just inside of regular curbing like Laguna and I think Massa broke his suspension on one during the race.

Yup, they don't bother adding any of the rocks or whatever they lay down to fill the void between the curbing and dirt. If they were kind they would have at least made the front edge a ramp vs a square edge.
Laguna is a completely different track at track days vs money making events but they should take both into consideration and something like that would have been simple when they poured the slab.

Wow that is a hard hit

Why would the guys who run the track put something like that there? Im guessing so people dont cut that corner too much?

Massa broke his suspension at India the same way.... hitting the big red thing inside the curbing.

they're fia legal curbs and were put there for the motogp guys. much like the sand traps. you just need to not hit them square on. but like the sand traps I'd be happier with a different solution.

fwiw willow springs refuses to fill the holes at the "kink" or whatever the hell it's called. those pot holes are worse.

btw anyone seen this?
