New FAQs - Trailer Construction and Hitch Installation
Shelley has just added two new FAQs to this website that Ole and I put together. One concerns the installation of a Da'Lon hitch https://www.s2ki.com/article/articleview/125/1/58/ and the other concerns the construction of a track trailer https://www.s2ki.com/article/articleview/122/1/58/ . I hope that they encourage and help anyone looking into doing this.
Also, I know that several members have either purchased SouthSport trailers or built their own, so I'd be interested in feedback.

Very informative. Note: Hoosier tires will not fit the trailer like the Kumhos do. I had to cut the horizontal part of the frame rails and add reinforcement to the cut frame to get the Hoosiers to fit. Also, to get a better ride on a lightly loaded trailer, you can modify the leaf springs of the trailer by removing one of the two leafs from each side.
Thanks for the tips Randy. I'll probably try pulling out a leaf because the trailer is very bouncy over bumps, A little more compliance wouldn't hurt.
I'm surprised that the Hoosiers are that much wider than the 225/50 and 245/45 Kumho V700s! The Hoosiers have the same section width and aspect ratio as the Kumhos, don't they?

Current Hoosiers are a good bit wider than the same section width Kumhos. That may change a bit with the recently released Kumhos though. Has anyone used the new Kumho R tire yet?
By the way, nice FAQs

The new Kumho's haven't been released yet, they have some serious compound issues to deal with first.
Last I heard they run as fast as Hoosiers for about 10-15 laps then they go away, big time.
Thanks for the FAQ Joshua, being the DIYer that I am, this helps me lots.

FWIW...the tirerack says they have the new ECSTA V700 in stock now. As well as the the V700 Victoracer.

Looks like the only size for the S2000 right now is 225/50WR16 though.

The new Kumhos sure have been released. I got mine just about two weeks ago. They don't seem super-wide, probably about as wide as Pirelli PZero street tires.
You could conceivably run 205/45-16 on the front of the S2000 and 225/50-16 on the rear. The front of the car will be lower; I don't know how that will affect the handling.
Great info on the trailer page. Now I know where to look for the tool bin, and how to make the plywood lie flat.
