Default A new track car is born...

18 months ago, I had never been on a racetrack in my life. Today I embarked on a project to build a race car. I blame STRIKE!!!! If Aaron had never introduced me to the GFCP, I'd have a new LCD big sceen right now, something I would have used every day!

Instead... what did I spend my big sceen $$ on???

It's going to take a while, but the frame is straight and the motor strong. Instead of becoming spare parts, this S will have a new life on the track.

In case the first photo didn't fully capture the essence...

actually... it's really not that bad...

Stay tuned for progress reports...

When you get to the cage part if you can make the trip to the bay area Tony does GREAT work for very good prices.

A man that takes a dead S2000 and brings it back to life to live out it's true calling is a hero in my eyes.

Yeah... too bad huh? It's gonna take a load of mods just to make it as fast as my stock Spa!

Thanks for the tip on the cage, Rylan. Rev Junky was suggesting I go with the same cage as either you or Karner. Is TC the one you have?

I'm going to take some time with this project. Gotta improve those driving skills first. (at least with a stock car, I have an excuse for being slow )

I'll be asking you all lots of questions along the way. As for the Berlina part... I'll be taking it to turn nine body and paint soon enough... I'll be going for the JP Berlina-stone look

Hope you know what you're in for. I had an accident with similar damage, and the repair bill totalled up to $21K. If you can scavage parts from a scrap yard and do all the work yourself, you can save yourself lots of money, but I still wouldn't expect this to be a cheap project. I would've looked for a theft recovery or flood victim instead.
