My guess is the surface.

Spot on there Marc. The surface in my experience (i run there 5-6 times/ year) does tend to favor r-comp cars a bit, when observing my pace in my BS CR and then hopping in an STR car. I don't think the pace difference we are observing here is all surface, but NJ definitely tends to pax in favor of slicks/DOT-R's.

Wish you came up with BSP car buddy!

I have listened to every tour on Ustream so far. Yeah, I really, really miss it! My BSP car is still in pieces, but I just bought a lift for my garage. Hopefully this makes the build go much faster. Best of luck to everyone tomorrow, I will be listening! I hope to see everyone in Lincoln!

Well, we did speed up and are definitely not getting "clobbered". At least not by any street tire cars. If you combine my left with Noel's right then we definitely outpaxed stx. If you take one of us we at least got them in raw by a bit.

Having some really fast stx people in the class is illuminating since they've said str is so much harder to drive consistently and fast. That might be part of the reason STR tends to have trouble in pax. And we have a lot of very fast stx and sts drivers here.

Anyway I could definitely be a bit faster on my slow side. Finally figured it out on my last run but didnt get a chance to execute on that side.

Competition was seriously fierce though, thats as much fun as I've had in a while. Congrats to Noel for putting down a crazy time on the right. We'll see how we do in the challenge.

Looks like a great fight in STR Jon! Tory and Teddie are fighting it out as well! Your car seems to be dialed in this year?

The STX pax is soft considering we have to win by a crap ton and they have all the same mods we do.

Nice job, Nick! You should spread a rumor that 80 run Hoosiers are the fastest!

They are certainly more predictable, rear traction is just slightly off...

Nick Barbato. That guy is so fast, consistently, it makes my head spin.

I'm disappointed I didn't make it into the challenge - apparently 2nd and 2 tenths off the leader in STR wasn't enough! I blame it on super stock and their super close battle.

So Ryan do you feel a little better about STR now that final results are in on sololive?
