Default O2 Lean Protection - Ignition Cut Mid Corner Bad?

I am wanting to set up O2 Lean Protection on my AEM V2. Originally my intentions were to set up a warning light only if AFR reached an undesirable level. This doesnt seem possible in AEM to use a warning light only. It appears the AEM will only let you use ignition cut as a lean out protection.

So, two questions:
Can you set up AEM to display a warning light only if AFR's reach an undesirable level?

Is my thinking wrong that it would be bad if O2 Lean Protection activated and cut ignition (say to 4500 RPM) and i am mid corner on the track? Couldnt this cause a spin out as if i lifted throttle abruptly?

Yeah sounds like a bad idea on track. Big warning light is a better option

This is a video that someone shared on my fuel starve thread, look what could happen when the fuel cuts (pretty much the same as cutting the ignition) on a dangerous corner

Scary! That's exactly what i want to avoid.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Again, i can not figure out how to get a warning light to work in AEM with out using the ignition cut.

if it's anything like the Haltech (soft limiter) it will be fine. What the car will do is just stop reving higher. once you drop below the threshold it will act like a rev limiter at the set lower RPM. I have it set for coolant temps on my Haltech at 215* and hit it once with oem radiator mid summer. Safetey mod kicked in mid corner, just felt like the car had no power.

What you dont want to do is cut spark or fuel completly. What you want is it to retard timing and add fuel as the safety measure.

Retarding timing and adding fuel sounds like something that would be done with O2 Feedback control, which is de-activated when the car hits 5psi boost. This is set up by the tuner and is typical.

I dont think AEM has a soft cut for the lean out protection though.

This may be better answered in the forced induction threads. MODS CAN YOU PLEASE MOVE TO FORCED INDUCTION?
