Default one less NSX

http://www.dpccars.com/car-videos/06-19-07...a-NSX-Crash.htm

He was doing ok, a bit hot, tail out, but suddenly it looks like the car weight shifted and his counter-steering took him into the wall.

Did he mash the brakes?? It looks like suddenly the rear tires got grip and he got whipped?

<- Trying to figure out the physics of what went wrong, and what he could've/should've done.

It looks like he wasn't all that out of balance going into the turn. In the middle of the turn, while sliding a fair bit, his overall path was still following the direction of the track so it wasn't "unsaveable". It sounds like he got back on the throttle right before the spin and then feathered through it. Perhaps too much opposite lock and lift?

Sounds like he let off the throttle just when he was about to save it. Isn't that a nono in a MR car? Letting off throttle mid slide?

To me it looked like too fast on entry resulting in understeer, probably lifted too much or applied too much brake trying to scrub speed to avoid understeering off track. The rear slid left, and the recovery wasn't timed right so the rear snapped back to the right and around.

Lifting on such a high speed turn is a big nono...

Was there that day. Looks like he over corrected and eased off.

He was actually trying to sell it before the accident, I believe the club had a whip round and bought the car for parts after this happened.

.. was quite eventful with a Scooby and an RX7 catching fire too.
