Replied in your FS thread as well. I think we can work something out. I have a lot of spare parts for a track car and would love a turbo on my street car.

Depends on the track somewhat. My Local track is The Ridge in Shelton WA, its a 3-5 gear track so pretty fast and my S felt really suitable out there in my NA 220whp configuration with my standard 255/295 stagger. 275/40 are bit taller so your gearing will lengthen and will probably have more effect on how "boggy" the cars feels over any added rolling resistance from added tire width. Also when you run more rubber, the speed you carry around the turns is quicker due to the added grip and so acceleration out of the hole isn't as necessary as a car with slower cornering speed like your BMW would be. The S even in NA form if set up nicely with a good driver is such a capable car, really hard to beat pared with cars that are much more powerful. A friend of mine has an 08 4 door M3 tuned with Exhaust making a good margin more power over stock along with all the driver aids at his disposal and wider rubber, and he was a couple seconds quicker in his NA S2k with 235/255 RS3. Not all tracks are the same, but the Ridge is not a small track, and it has a 145mph+ strait in the M3, so lots of ground made up there. I could only muster up 125-ish in my NA S. His best time in the M was 2:06x and mine in my NA S was 2:03x. As drivers we are pretty well matched so much of this is reflected on the machine I feel. Plus the S is just way cheaper to fix and maintain.

Great feedback thanks! Imagine at limerock this will also be similar. I think it's the right thing to do for me. I want to get really good at the track.

So I have some offers to trade turbo for other track parts. What's the most reliable big brake kit, think that's part number 1. Thinking headers aren't so important.

I'm sure you already know this, but Lime Rock requires either OEM Hardtop or roll bar to take a convertible out.

I personally have driven several different cars on it, and would take the S2000 simply because of what SimplyPedal said: if you do crash/spin/whatever, the S2000 is ALOT cheaper to fix than the m3. Add in wear and tear, and the costs of the E90 M3 add up very quickly.

You don't need a BBK. At least not as a top priority item. I'd get safety equipment first - rollbar (I think you already have), seats (preferably halo), harness, and HANS. Then tires. All the rest can wait, IMO.

Agreed. Most S2k classes in club racing require stock calipers.

Get a 2-piece rotor, ducting and good pads first.
