Thanks for the help guys...really appreciate it in this frustrating time!

Have a hard dog already, hawk pads, braided lines...

Seats and a harness it is. I believe for safety if you do this you need to get rid of the air bag correct? So wheel too?

Not a bad idea to PM Ryan (rhouck). He owns both, and tracked both quite a lot.

Seat time with some good coaching. Just seat time by itself simply allows you to practice and ingrain bad habits. If you are getting faster with seat time, then it is working. If not, go back and get more coaching. Also, a lot of the instructors at HPDE events are just advanced group guys who have learned to run fast laps, and they instruct in exchange for free track time. That doesn't make them good coaches. A little bit of professional coaching goes a long way. Then seat time, seat time, seat time.

I agree that you should never track a car that you wouldn't push off a cliff. I broke that rule every time I tracked my NSX, but I'm over that now, since I got another S2K. And yes, I agree with most of the members here (and what did you expect S2Ki members to say), get an S2000. Most fun car I have ever driven on track (with possible exception of Formula Mazda, but I never was very good at driving that, and am putting it up for sale).

I can't amagine the frustration I would have driving an NA s2000 after owning a high power turbo s2000. Have you thought of trying a turbo kit with a low side mount turbo manifold which put put out a lot less heat. A ptunning or SOS turbo kit should be track friendly. If not a supercharger can be a last result

Nah I don't want to deal with it. Planning to dedicate the car to tack duty, and would prefer the opportunity to focus on the momentum. Plus If I get really frustraited I can always sell the s and m (no pun intended) and look for something else maybe a pcar...plus was planing to get the new m anyhow (want to see how it holds up on the track first however with its turbos)

I love my E90 M3, but for mostly track use and learning how to drive, the S2K will be less expensive and a better tool for your needs. Now if funds are not an issue and you want to spend more to have more power, heavier car, replace tires and brakes more often, i'd personally go with the M3 as its a way better DD.
