A Pillars as Structural Member
Can someome verify for me that the S2K A pillars are, or are not, structural members of the body? I have run it in NASA HPDE but am considering entering my 30 year old daughter in an AROSC HPDE event where you have to meet the "broomstick" rule. I know that I cannot meet the rule for the stock roll bar with the stock driver seat, but it is possible that my daughter can meet it if the A pillars/windshield frame is a structural member. Otherwise, the broomstick must measure from the top of the roll bar to the top of the front shock tower, which she can't meet. I race a Spec Miata but do not want to haul it to the track.

Yes, structural. Thick steel and meant as part of rollover protection. S2000s, Z4s and Boxsters are often on the "acceptable" for HPDE insurance without aftermarket roll bar list.
