Quick Essex/URGE/AP Racing kit review
Been messing around with my project car for a good year and a half now and have my first two testing days under my belt.
Love the BBK! It's running XP10 pads, I have no brake booster nor ABS, Tilton floor pedals and rolling on 275 Pirelli WC slicks.
Great modulation and communication - good stopping power - not overheating
In fact I have had to adjust the way I brake and apply less pressure for less time.
Confidence inspiring.
They will lock up the slicks, but releasing is easy and just takes a bit of pressure reduction. Turned a 2:04 at Inde MS Ranch in Willcox, which is the fastest I've ever been around the full 21 turn circuit. (NA 218whp 153wtq)
Good stuff - thanks URGE, worth every penny!!
Still working out some details, but this is the car

Feels good - very direct. I actually anticipated more pressure and more of a dead brick feel - not at all true. I think the brakes have a great feel and don't really require much extra oomph. Very nice for heel/toe - when I slop over to the gas it does not effect brake pressure as much as with a boosted system.
The no ABS part is a bit more challenging - there are times when you want to scrub NOW! and with ABS you can cram your foot deep and just pray. Not really the case with no ABS - I cram up to what I think is the 75-80% mark and then add more from there. Pucker factor is in play.
Pick of bay
