fidanza + act = 6lbs lighter than stock assembly. Just installed them today. Weighed everything! ACT clutch is same weight as stock clutch. Flywheel was where the 6lbs came from. -6.8lbs to be exact I had this set up on my last car and loved it. Sure you have to rev it higher to get it going but the acceleration will be much better. We shall see! 230whp is in my reach. I too could care less about street drivability, but it is a street car, I'm too much of an enthusiast to care about how much an aftermarket part mimics the stock 'feel'. Touge Monsta!

hmmm too-gay is right. A light flywheel doesn't help you accelerate faster.

huh to what? Touge = Too Gay.

And a light flywheel helps you shift faster, not accelerate faster.

touge is fun, and not everyone has 40 race tracks like ca. Rotational mass removed from the engine doesnt improve its ability to rev faster?

it's still too gay to drive like an asshat on public roads. I used to "too-gay" but we just called it "going for a drive" till I got to the track and learned how stupid it was </rant>

And yup, but thats why you can shift faster w/ a lighter rotating mass as the motor can change speed a lot faster. But once you let the clutch out the mass you're moving includes the weight of the car and and butt(s) in the seats. That couple pounds really makes no measurable difference. Tho the less time between gears means you'll achieve a higher top speed for the same distance but it isn't that the car is accelerating faster, just accelerating for more of the time.

Lighter flywheel makes the throttle blip for heal-toe easier. Is that what you mean by shifting faster or is there something else involved as well?

upshifts too, it takes less time for the rpms to drop so you can put it in the next gear.
