I installed my spg with the j's rail yesterday. The j's is the same as the taitec.

So, I don't rub the door at all, not even close. Rear seat bolts are in the lowest position and one from the top in the front.

Cobra issue reported by BMW owner
I recently had the chance to buy any Cobra seat at 20% off including any hardware and local pick up at a group buy. But after thinking long and hard, not only about the quality control issue but also the poor customer service, I also decided to pass on the Cobra. It's too bad because their Kevlar seat prices seem comparable to Sparco, OMP, Recaro and other brands' fiberglass.

It also came down to finding a seat to sit in for me. Cobra wasn't willing to help me find one to sit in and the dealers won't order without payment first.
I am very happy with the spg so far, It fits me great, sits very low and the leg bolsters are not to high as to make it hard to get in and out.

Awesome. SPG is a great seat. I wish I fit it.

I'm still patiently waiting for my Sparco seat to come in.

I bought a pair of the MOMO Super Cup seats, but they ended up being just a bit too tight in the hips Back to shopping again... I really like the way the stock seats feel though, has anyone ever tried modifying them to work with race harnesses?

I would not run race harnesses on stock seats. Just get a proper bucket.

Sparco Evo 2 sounds like it'd be a good fit for you.

My suggestion is go to the track and just ask people to try their seats. Easy way to figure out what fits you best.
