the rear BBK will come in Open Slots or Blank rotors, but no plain(regular) slots. i specifically requested RB to produce plain cut rotors because i knew most racer -prefers non-slot rotors.
the Open Slots is what i have in the rear (pic above)
I'm not sure what rotor surface will be available for the front, but Open Slot will be available for sure.

RB has just inform me that they have made a decision to only offer Open Slot rotors on all their 2 piece rotors, in an effort to control inventory. and they also believe that the Open Slot is a superior technology. they already had the plain finish in stock but they are sending them back to the shop to be made into Open Slots.

Two sessions so far. Rear +1 bbk is working amazing. Rear temp is half as much as the front.previous session, front was 1000 degree and rear was 490 in the hot pit. Ill have full review up tomorrow.

the +1 rear BBK performed fantastic on the first track day. we got four 20 minutes session. i didn't push the car hard in the first session because i wanted to make sure everything was installed correctly and no rubbing issue. there wasn't any real noticeable brake bias change, i did plenty of trail braking and the front ABS always came on first. the ET500 is just their performance street pads. i will try the ET800 next week and see how brake bias will change. i also have a used set of DTC30 that i can try.
i knew rear brake temp was going to drop but i didn't expect this much. my rear brake temp is usually the same or 50-100 degree hotter than the front with oem setup. but with the vented rear setup, the rear temp dropped by half as much as the front. and the hat never got over 220 degree, that's good news for the rear wheel bearing.
the rear brake are running so cold now i might have to get brake warmer.
CAR SPECS:
Nitto 255 all around
Front brake ducts
Front OEM caliper and rotor with DTC60
Rear heat shield removed

Are you just using an IR gun to read temps?
i'm usually keep the high numbers because the temp can vary from the inner to outer rotor surface.

a little different question: i noticed last time while bleeding my brakes that the rear calipers have CRAZY flex. truly amazed me how much the caliper would move around as the pedal is pressed harder--it flexes so much that it looks like it might break by fatigue. so.... while rb is at this, is there any possible way they can reinforce the oem caliper? it appears to be flexing where the outer bracket meets the piston bracket, at those sliding screws. can't think of any way to fix this, but figure i'd just ask.
