i just changed to a AEM EMS and it was truly plug and play. i plugged it in and tuner played. <2 hr initial dyno no issues, xcept slow to fire over, but always starts. Its straight forward if u have an experienced tuner.
My tuner is an expert with the Hondata systems, but I don't know how much AEM tuning experience he has. It is quite possible that the Hondata experience will help with the AEM tuning.

If we had Mr. Church here on the east coast, it would be a no-brainer.

As for the starting issues, Wait 3-5 seconds after turning the key to the on position, then fire the button. It's amazing how much less laboring the car does to turn over. That info was passed on to me by another member. I know I wouldn't be smart enough to figure it out.

Can you PM me with the tuner you used and your experience? I still need to talk to my tuner about it, but obviously yours has experience with the AEM EMS.

Aren't some members running F20 ECU's with F22's, spinning near 9k? I kind of remember reading a few topics about this, with Billman maybe doing some experimenting.

If that was the case, and if they were successful with that combo, could you run the Mugen with the F22? The Mugen doesn't read some of the emissions stuff, so that would also help CEL issue.

good luck and btw - still running your CE's Pete

Contact AJ-Racing.

I talked with both AJ and J's Racing and they finished a 2.2L North American version of the J's Racing ECU.

None of those members use the car as a race car and sustain high rpms. Most have stated they've only seen 9k on a handful of occassions. The one Bill wrote about uses his as a weekend pleasure car and never on the track. Totally different situations and not worth taking the chance on.
