So for the AP1 guys, my understanding is the PCV will be closed all the time if you simply plumb it to an atmospheric vented catch can. I recently went to the hardware store to get a barbed fitting to replace the PCV entirely and run to my catch can. For those wondering, you need a 1/2" barbed fitting to fit the rubber grommet the PCV normally fits in

I beleive it will block pressurized air into the valve cover, but it should allow air to push through it from the valve cover. Because it is a valve, I have always felt it to be a restriction of air flow. I have yet to test that, but I will soon.

Would you mind posting a picture of what you did? Can I put it in the first post? A close up of only the VC and fitting is what I am looking for.

Awesome info in this thread, quick question which fitting did you go with for the PCV valve location (M14x1.5) I've tried searching for something compatible and am really struggling finding the correct fitting.

Currently I am running the stock PCV and front vent to a single Vent-to-air catch can, but as of yet have not done the VC mod.

I know mine is black, and I ordered it from Summit Racing. I feel like I have posted the part number or a link at some point.

I'll do some digging, I searched Amazon, Jegs, and Summit and couldn't find one that I thought would work but might just be me.

Simple search of the thread yielded that I did post it:

So I took the advice on this thread and changed my catch can set up so my dual can system no longer goes back fo the intake and now has dual filters on.

When the engine is warm you can see vapour coming out of the filters, which I wasn't expecting.

We will see how it performs at Cadwell Park (UK) on the 18th. If we see blue smoke then the rocker cover will be pulled and drilled ready for the Nurburgring on September 8th.

Smoke out of the breathers is normal when venting to atmosphere. Good luck!

Yep. You will probably be able to smell it if you don't recirculate the A/C as well.
