The Karcepts (Urge) hubs I believe have thicker flanges, not only due to not having the cutouts I think. They also have no rotor screw holes which is a likely stress riser in the s2k hubs. I wonder as well on materials as the Karcepts units are heat treated chromoly steel which they advertise as being stronger than OE, although I do not know the specs on the OE. Hard to say with the given info but not sure the Jseries ones are going to be as strong, but may be stronger at least than the OEM's due to not having the cutouts in them

Key things to check:
1. hub shaft length -- part that goes into the bearing. It can be slightly shorter, but can't be longer.
2. axle bore -- pop the hub on the axle. if it fits, golden.
3. rotor flange offset to wheel bearing (this caught me by surprise). lay s2000 hub and jseries hub on a table, check for flange variances. If off by a millimeter, it might be ok, as there's likely enough pad space to offset the rotor being either closer/further to the spindle.

I only suggested this, as I am currently doing a bolt pattern change on another car and have a spreadsheet of wheel bearings and hubs, and the Jseries was an easy search for a hub that would fit the S2000 bearing.

ie. Wheel bearing 510019, bore 45mm, diameter 82mm, width 37mm.
hub 29595010, hub pilot 45mm, height 68mm, spline count 28, brake pilot 64mm

Did anyone ever get confirmation on the J series hubs being a suitable substitute? If so, which bearing is / was used?

Note: New S2k owner here. First post. I come in peace and ask for grace.

First gen CRV RD1 hubs are the same and as thick as the Karcept ones, a lot cheaper as well. I believe front hubs.

Specifically.

Part Numbers:
SK930450 (x2) - this is the hub.

Needs different studs too.
ARP 100-7717 (x2) - no these aren’t the usual - 7712 Honda studs. the CR-V uses a larger knurl diameter so you’ll need studs from an Evo VIII if you’re planning on doing extended studs. Same thread pitch as oe.

Do you guys knows if the front and rear bearing is the same? I was looking at the rear hub assembly and for some reason it is listing the bearing #36 in that assembly as "front" bearing..

nvm. The bearings are the same for front and rear.

Is OEM bearing is the best to go with ?
