if you're in engineering, it seems to me that you want to design your own wing... best way to go would be single element with generous camber. It is versatile, and for almost all tracks it will do the job quite well.

only true if you're not charging into the corner too hard and killing the exits

As it happens, I'm planning on designing my own wing, and it's going to look a lot like this description.

haha, but it's way easier to do that if you have less downforce.

the limit is different, but the nut behind the wheel still want to push it as close to the edge as he/she can.
From first hand experience I know I've worked with someone who does it all the time; no matter what track we were at. AT the same time, the other guy also with limited experience seems to be just fine and is really starting to pickup the pace.
One gets it and has it, the other doesn't I suppose.
actually, you might be right... a lot of people get weirded out by downforce. they are used to their non-downforce limits, and can't really gauge where the limit really is. I just push it until it slides... that's usually good enough for me.

exactly. there's always the lesser-known sexiness/weight for any given wing.

im starting to get more and more into aero, thinking about doing my grad study in that feild. Ive only learned about pipe flow fluids so far, but its definetly starting to interest me, especially with everything that is developing with CFD
