Thumbs up Remote Reservoir Mounting Advice

Received some Moton Club Sports which I'm going to install in the next few weeks. For the people that got remote reservoirs, I was wondering where in the engine bay you guys were installing the front ones and the reasoning for putting them in a particular location. Did anyone have issues with hose routing and moving suspension parts? Any other things to not do? Just want to hear any horror stories before I make one for myself.

Front: if you remove the plastic fender liners you will uncover a passage through to the engine compartment. On the driver's side, the passage is right next to the coolant overflow tank. I zip-tied the hose to the front edge of the upper control arm, then ran it through that passage and over the radiator support. I zip-tied the reservoir to the top of the radiator shroud (that required drilling 2 pairs of small holes on each side, for the two zip-ties on each side).

Rear: I used threaded metal hose clamps to clamp the reservoir to the longitudinal rib of the upper control arm. I zip tied the hose in a curvy path between the upper and lower control arms to take up the slack, in such a way that the hose isn't stretched when the suspension moves.

I used sections of an old bicycle tire as pads between the reservoirs and the metal parts of the car that they are near.

(Mine are Penske not Ohlin so you may have to adjust things a bit.)

I wonder if I have any photos.

Do you have the quick disconnects for the rears?
If not, you will need to drill 2 holes the size of a Coca-Cola can.

For the fronts, if you undo the two 10mm bolts holding the radiator stays in place, you can slip the front cannister through and attach it to the frame member with 2" adel clamps.

Make sure you check and set the nitrogen pressure FIRST.

Goodluck,

Like the old bicycle tire rubber cushion for tying down the hoses.

I did get quick disconnects on the rear to reduce the size of the holes in the trunk. Although in hindsight, it probably wasn't worth the cost for a one time installation.

I've got a J's intake which takes up half of the space over the radiator, so don't really have the space to put it over the radiator shroud. The easy place to put it looks like the frame cross member that is directly below the OEM air intake (which I obviously don't have). A little worried about engine heat though. Maybe attaching it on the forward surface instead of the top surface would be OK. The other place is at front corners of the engine bay. There is space in front of the horn on the passenger side and there could be space on the driver side if the cruise control was removed (never use it anyway) and relocate the overflow tank somehow.
